The 4th Asia - Europe Foundation (ASEF) Young Leaders Summit on "Sustainable Development in a post COVID-19 World" is the official youth event of the 13th ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) Summit in November 2021 in Cambodia. It is a 10-month long youth leadership programme on self, team & societal leadership in the context of the SDGs 3, 4, 8 and 13.
This Overview provides further information about the project.
As part of the 4th ASEF Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS4), ASEF and the Centre for Creative Leadership are producing an ASEM Youth Report that captures the perceptions of young people across 51 Asian and European countries on equitable opportunities in leadership, including the youth's understanding of leadership and forms of leadership in society. If you are a young person between 18 - 30 years old, we invite you to fill in the Youth Survey, which will be the basis of the ASEM report.
The ASEM Youth Report will be presented by ASEFYLS4 youth representatives to the Heads of State and Governments at the 13th ASEM Summit and circulated through ASEF's networks to Ministries of Education & Youth as well as youth organisations in both regions, with the aim of informing policy makers and relevant stakeholders.
All participating youth will receive an e-book on Leadership by the Centre for Creative Leadership. In addition, one Asian and one European youth respondent will be selected through a lucky draw and receive a fully funded "Trainer Essentials" course by the UN System Staff College.
