This year we partnered with Bancpost in celebrating the traditional Mărțișor custom, that since December 2017 is part of the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Our country shares the Mărţişor tradition with Bulgaria, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Republic of Moldova.
The national campaign „Proud of Mărțișor” aims to inform and raise awareness of the inclusion of the Mărțișor tradition in the UNESCO Heritage and addresses all Romanians, regardless of age, ethnicity or social status. The campaign involves mass media and social media representatives, to turn them into ambassadors of the tradition, to carry the message in their communities, as well as institutions and state authorities in the country and abroad.
