Meeting of the European Network of Geoparks in Hateg

The 47th meeting of the European Network of Geoparks (EGN) took place in Hațeg, Hunedoara County, from 27 to 31 March and brought together representatives from 28 countries. The event was organized by the European Network of Geoparks, the University of Bucharest & CIVIS, Hunedoara County Council, Hațeg City Hall, AIH Intermunicipal Association Țara Haţegului, Romania's National Commission for UNESCO. This is the first time that an EGN meeting is held in Romania.
With the help provided by the communities and local authorities, the UN E S C O Țara Hațegului International Geopark showed to the participants the impressive geological, natural and cultural heritage, but also the warmth and friendship of the local people.
