Each year, on 15 April, World Art Day celebrations help reinforce the links between artistic creations and society, encourage greater awareness of the diversity of artistic expressions and highlight the contribution of artists to sustainable development.
Among the UNESCO initiatives in the field of Art stands the UNESCO works of art collection. UNESCO houses today the largest art collection in the United Nations system, comprised of over 700 old and modern works of artistic diversity from 128 countries across the globe.
