Tudor Vladimirescu Stadium in Târgu Jiu city has been selected to run for the Versailles Sports 2020 Prize

The Secretariat of the Prix Versailles has short-listed the Stadium Tudor Vladimirescu in Târgu Jiu city, Romania, as a worldwide candidate for the Prize Versailles 2020 for Sports. A maximum of 10 candidates will be selected, among which the World Judges Panel will discern the Prix Versailles and two special prizes. The World Judges Panel is made up of leading figures from multiple disciplines: world-renowned architects, three-star chefs, and influential people from the cultural and artistic world. The criteria used by the World Judges Panel to select the most beautiful sports facilities include their innovativeness, creativity, reflection of local heritage and energy efficiency.
The Prix Versailles Sports, created by the World Prix Versailles Organization, is a series of awards honouring the most remarkable sports facilities from a perspective of their interior and exterior architecture. The competition sends a lasting message about the crucial, universal role played by those facilities in fostering social, economic and cultural exchanges.
The Prix Versailles for Sports is organized in association with UNESCO and the International Union of Architects.
