Wednesday, July 17, 2019, started the VIIth edition of the Romanian Government's Official Internship Programme. The event was held at Victoria Palace, and brought together over 200 students and young graduates, from universities in Romania and abroad. The programme graduates from previous years also participated at the event.
The opening ceremony debuted with the Prime Minister’s speech. Mrs. Viorica Dăncilă appreciated the effort made both by the organizing team and the young participants: “The Romanian Government stands by your side and supports this programme and any initiative designed to help young people at the beginning of their professional careers. As you know, the interns’ activity was always appreciated, but beyond recognition, starting this year, the internship period is considered seniority at the workplace.”
Under the internship programme, admitted candidates will have the opportunity to see how the 55 institutions involved in this programme - ministries, authorities and central public administration agencies - work.
There were three admitted candidates at the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO: Daria Bădescu, Alexandra Cojocaru and Andreea Mircia. The three interns will have the opportunity to learn how the institution functions, by actively getting involved in its projects.
Representing the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO, Mrs. Daniela Popescu, expert, participated at the internship programme’s opening ceremony.
