From the series of events dedicated to contemporary women and human rights in the context of celebrating the 65th anniversary of Romania's accession to UNESCO, Romania's National Commission for UNESCO (CNR UNESCO) has prepared several specific actions, cooperating with prominent voices in science, culture and art. These actions include the online exhibition ZERO VIOLENCE - Woman Today, initiated by the Alumnus Club association, in partnership with CNR UNESCO. The artist Carmen Emanuela Popa proposes an idealistic urge with references to the eradication of violence of any kind, through a conceptual approach with interdisciplinary means in fashion design and post-modernist aesthetic values.
A woman's fragility is often exploited as an anti-weapon in terms of her social and family security. In many cases, lack of education, deviant behavior, precariousness or maladaptation factors generate the generic and harmful phenomenon of violence that is ravaging the contemporary world.
