The 11th edition of the Classics for Pleasure festival starts on July 16!

From 16 to 18 July 2021, Elite Art Club UNESCO invites you to “Classics for Pleasure - At the End There’s Light” festival. A cultural symbol of Transylvania, the festival awaits music lovers with 3 classical music concerts and a unique exhibition. This year the theme of the festival is one full of optimism and hope, an ode to the beauty of life.
The festival will open on July 16 with a unique concert in the Great Square that will feature re-orchestrations of the most famous pop and classical songs in the history of music. On July 17, music lovers will be pampered with a special concert, dedicated to the extraordinary courage of doctors that give us the opportunity to return to a normal life after COVID. The closing will take place on July 18 with the traditional Proms of Delight concert, which this year will be dedicated to the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting the environment.
The stars of this year's festival will be Ion Bogdan Ștefănescu, Andreea Novac, Hector Lopez, Constantin Grigore, Iosif Ion Prunner, Aida Pascu, the Violoncellissimo Ensemble led by Marin Cazacu, the Orchestra of Physicians Dr. Ermil Nichifor, and the Sibiu State Philharmonic Orchestra.

Visual art exhibition
During the festival, all measures will be observed to prevent the spread with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and to ensure the development of activities in safe health conditions in the field of culture. The following measures will be implemented in the Great Square of Sibiu: the perimeter of the festival will be delimited with protective fences, and the seats for spectators will be placed at a distance of 2 meters. The available places are limited and the public access will be in the order of arrival, between 18.00 - 20.00. Wearing a mask is mandatory. Social distancing is mandatory.
The Classics for Pleasure Festival is organized by Elite Art Club UNESCO. Action co-financed by the City Hall of Sibiu, with the amount of 180,000. Its objective is to promote Sibiu excellence nationally and internationally and to promote classical music among the public.
The festival is realized with the support of the Sibiu County Council.
